Agartala: Jan 11: On this day, under the leadership of the Shantirbazar Block Congress, 34 voters from indigenous communities joined the Indian National Congress (INC). This significant event took place during a joining ceremony attended by several prominent leaders, including Pradesh Congress President Ashis Kumar Saha, MLA Sudip Roy Barman, former minister Monindra Riang, District President Mridul Patari, Pradesh Congress General Secretary Milan Kora, Block Congress President Mrityunjay Riang, and Zilim Riang, along with other dignitaries.
During the ceremony, the Pradesh Congress President addressed the media, stating that the 34 voters from indigenous communities had left the Tipra Motha Party and other political parties to join the Indian National Congress.
