Police of border district Kamalpur achieved huge success against illegal drug trade. Brown sugar worth three crore rupees seized along with three drug dealers. Two cars rang.

On the basis of incident, secret information, the police of Kamalpur police station conducted searches at various places under Kamalpur police station of 208 National Road on Saturday. As part of this, on Saturday night at 10.30  National Road, Srirampur naka naka checking, SDPO Suman Mazumdar, OC Sanjay Laskar, S I B P Darlong and S I Saurabh Bhattacharya led by a large number of paramilitary forces including TR 01 AR 1728 and one unnumbered vehicle. Police arrested Maruti Nexa. Explain that while searching the vehicle, the police got suspicious after seeing a hidden camera. Then the police brought two cars to the police station. A total of three kilos of brown sugar was recovered from a box containing 244 soaps when the vault chamber was broken. Police officials said that the market price of this brown sugar is about three crore rupees. In this incident, besides impounding two vehicles, the police arrested three people. These are Mahababul Alam of Boxanagar, Jahar Mia and Piklu Bhowmik of Bishalgarh.

Common people feel that it is necessary to continue this type of police operation in the future.
