Agartala: Nov 28: Agartala, November 28: 18 shops burnt to ashes in a devastating fire. It is assumed that the ash shops were burnt in the fire of sabotage. Yesterday late night, 18 shops were burnt to ashes in the devastating fire of Udaipur Chak Bazar. In that incident panic has appeared in the minds of the traders of the entire market. According to the affected businessmen, the amount of damage due to the fire will be approximately two crore rupees.

An eyewitness said that he heard a loud noise and noticed the scene of fire after leaving the house last night. The shop owners were immediately informed. The fire brigade rushed to the news. The fire was brought under control with the help of the crowd along with four fire engines. But by that time, some of the shops in the market were burnt to ashes. Several other shops in the market were partially damaged in the fire, he said.

He also said that the Chairman of Udaipur Municipal Council went to the spot after the fire. Meanwhile, on Tuesday morning, the district governor and administration officials visited. The leaders of the ruling party also visited the damaged market.
