149th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda celebrated with due dignity

Agartala, November 15: Birsa Munda’s 149th birthday is being celebrated with due dignity across the country as well as in the state. The All India People’s Rights Protection Tripura State Committee celebrated Birsa Munda’s 149th birthday in front of the Ujjayanta Palace this morning.
On this day, All India People’s Rights Protection Tripura State Committee Convenor Milan Debbarma said, it is the 149th birthday of Birsa Munda, the leader of the farmers’ movement of British India. The sole purpose of celebrating Birsa Munda’s birthday today is to consolidate the movement of tribals for water, forest and land rights.
