The notification also states that new ration cards will soon replace the old paper ration cards. It is crucial that the information of family members on the ration card is accurate.

The department has observed that many ration card holders have not yet linked their Aadhaar cards with their ration cards. It is imperative for these individuals to link their Aadhaar immediately. A list of such consumers is available at the respective ration shops. They must visit their respective ration shops and scan their fingerprints on the e-POS machine by September 30th.

Additionally, all consumers are requested to visit the Food Department’s website to verify the names, ages, gender, and addresses of family members on their ration cards by entering their ration card number online.
