The Honourable Chief Minister, Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, attended the two-day state-level training programme organised by the National Oral Health Programme (NHM) in association with the Indian Dental Association (IDA), Tripura State Branch, at Pragna Bhavan, Hall 1, Agartala. This event, which was organised by the Health and Family Welfare Department of the Tripura government, saw the inauguration of several key government web portals, including the websites of the Tripura State Dental Council, Agartala Government Dental College, and the web portal of IGM Hospital.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chief Minister, symbolising the inauguration of the event. In his address, Dr. Manik Saha emphasised the significance of standardising medical services, particularly in the field of oral health. He highlighted the importance of having a cohesive and comprehensive approach to dental health care, which is crucial for the overall well-being of the population.

Dr. Saha pointed out that the launch of these new web portals marks a significant step towards enhancing transparency, accessibility, and efficiency in the state’s health services. The Tripura State Dental Council website will provide crucial information and updates to dental professionals and the public, while the Agartala Government Dental College and IGM Hospital web portals will serve as vital resources for patients seeking information about services, appointments, and health guidelines.

The Chief Minister also mentioned the critical role of digitalization in modern healthcare. By leveraging technology, these web portals are expected to streamline administrative processes, reduce wait times, and provide timely information to patients and healthcare providers alike.
