Agartala: Dec 22: 10323 sacked teachers went on hunger strike in front of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Sahar’s house and sat on dharna to demand the return of their jobs. A group of dismissed teachers are continuing their agitation to demand the return of their jobs. They have been on hunger strike in front of Rabindra Bhavan in the capital for about 64 days. Allegedly, no representative has been sent by the government to the place of their protest. Naturally, the agitators are adamant about their demands. The teachers are continuing their hunger strike day and night in the cold to get their demands. Even after 64 days, after 64 days, they came down to the streets after getting no response from the government. On this day, the dismissed teachers marched in front of the residence of the Chief Minister Dr. Manik Sahar. They sat on the streets after being stopped by the police. They demanded that the Chief Minister meet them. If they could not return their jobs, they demanded to give termination letters to each of them.
