Agartala: May 19: In a mysterious incident, a 10-year-old boy has disappeared from the Debnagar area of Sonamura Urmai Gram Panchayat, leaving the community in turmoil. Despite three days having elapsed, there are no clues regarding his whereabouts. The distraught family has turned to the police, pleading for assistance in locating their missing son.
The sequence of events began when Swapna Das, wife of day laborer Pradip Das, ventured into the forest near their home in Ward No. 1 of Urmai Gram Panchayat on March 17. Accompanied by her son, Rahul Das, she intended to collect firewood. However, upon her return, she was met with a heart-wrenching discovery: Rahul was nowhere to be found. He had vanished from the spot where she had left him during the firewood gathering.
Desperate and frantic, Swapna Das informed her family members and local residents about the situation. Despite their collective efforts, Rahul remained elusive. The family’s anguish led them to seek help from the police. Yet, even after three days of intensive search, there is no trace of the young boy.
Authorities have registered a case and initiated an investigation. The prevailing suspicion is that Rahul may have been kidnapped. Additionally, they are exploring whether the child had any adversaries.
The family, grappling with shock and disbelief, implores the community to join them in their quest to find their missing son.
