Road accident: one injured

Agartala: May 13: One pedestrian was seriously injured after a bus hit him. The incident took place at Warren Bari area of Pathalia Ghat ADC Village Committee area under Bishramganj police station on Friday. The injured person has been identified as Chirantan Debbarma(55) of Ampi Sinai area under Teliamura Police station.  Chirantan Debbarma came to visit Warren Bari at his daughter house in Pathalia Ghat ADC Village Committee area. A bus at Pathalia Ghat Warren Bari fled after being hit on the national highway. He had head injuries after the accident.The information was given to Bishramganj Fire Brigade. Upon receiving the information, the personnel of Bishramganj Fire Brigade took Chirantan Debbarma to Bishramganj Primary Hospital. On-duty physician Dr. Pooja Deb refers Chirantan Debbarma to Agartala GBP Hospital for advanced treatmentDespite frequent accidents on the national highway in Bishramganj police station area, the locals complained that the police and traffic were completely asleep. Locals have appealed to the police and traffic police to be more active in preventing the accident.
