Modi targets Manik in two rallies (2/8/2018) 
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed two mammoth rallies in the election going state of Tripura and targetted Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar.In his signature style he said that the people of Tripura do not need any Manik but a HIRA. "People wear different stones for their progress and peace. But people in Tripura do not deserve any 'Manik' but a 'HIRA' - Highways, i-ways, Roadways and Airways." he said.Addressing a gathering in Sonamura, PM Modi slammed the CPM government by saying, “The scams and corruption that leadership of this state hides behind the ‘white kurta’ and ‘bank account’ must come in public domain.”“The present government in Tripura has established an atmosphere of fear among the people who speak against them.” He further added.He attacked Manik Sarkar over Rose Valley scam, rising unemployment in Tripura, minimum wages.After Sonamura, the prime minister addressed a public meeting at Kailasahar later in the day.Promising Tripura on trade, tourism, and skill training for the youth, the Prime Minister concluded his speech with the BJP's electoral slogan of "Chalo Paltai", meaning "Let's bring change".PM Modi will visit the state again on Thursday next and will be addressing a public meeting in Agartala.
