Bijan compares Manik with Fidel Castro (12/2/2017)
Bijan Dhar, state CPI(M) secretary compared Manik Sarkar with Cuban Communist legend Fidel Castro . He was speaking at a rally held at Dukli. The rally was organised by Nari Samiti. The rally came in the aftermath of the controversial comments made by MP and top Nari Samiti leader Jharna Das Baidya. Mr Dhar mentioned that US imperialist forces tried to oust Fidel Castro and even tried to assassinate him umpteen number of times. But they failed in vain . Similarly, in Tripura too conspiracies are against Manik Sarkar too. Mr Dhar stated that money will be spent like anything in the upcoming assembly poll. I got a message from an agency that wanted Rs 150 crore for branding. I said thank you and reminded those present at the rally that the ruling party that depends on subscriptions for party funds only spends roundabout Rs one crore in the sixty seats of the state.
