Huge show of strength by 10,323 terminated teachers (11/30/2017)
The 10,323 terminated teachers showed their flex on Thursday. They held a huge march to secretariat where police had a tough time to keep traffic normal . Later chief minister Manik Sarkar agreed to meet them at 7 PM. But the 10,323 stuck to their demand for immediate steps to save their jobs. The speakers at the rally held on the occasion demanded immediate steps by the state Government. The immediate instigation was the recent pronouncements made by retired Justices A B Paul and P K Sarkar. Only yesterday another section of the terminated teachers had held a meeting where they had made it clear that they will not do anything that will lead to legal hurdles.
