Bijan turns spoiler as Karat & Manik remain confident (10/11/2017)
The positive speeches delivered by Prakash Karat first and Manik Sarkar soon after was spoiled by CPI(M) state secretary Bijan Dhar. His reference to dismantling of Soviet Union and drawing parallels with Tripura demoralized the top comrades present in Rabindra bhavan . They had come to hear the November revolution lecture. Prakash Karat referred to the BJP resolution targeting the three states where Left is strong. In Tripura, he mentioned that facing all challenges CPI(M) will emerge victorious. Mr Sarkar mentioned of harsh questions he has to face outside the state from reporters who tell him how CPI(M) is finished. We should face the challenges ahead being proud of the successful implementation of alternative policies in our state. But there should not be any place for complacency, he reminded the comrades. We believe you are in the battleground, do not leave even one inch and your win cannot be stopped and no power can defeat you, Mr Sarkar retorted.
