BJP rally in capital, violence in Khumulung (8/9/2017) 
On world indigenous day one saw two sides of the story with BJP Janjati Morcha holding a show of strength in the capital. But the day became gory with IPFT workers ransacking and setting on fire the CPI(M) office in Khumulung. More than two dozen bikes of CPI(M) cadres were also set on fire even as Mebar Jamatia, IPFT GS led the attack. Back in the capital Arunachal CM, BJP state president Biplab Deb and observer Sunil Deodhar addressed a rain marred gathering in front of Rabindra bhavan. All six party legislators and Sunu Dutta was also seen in the rally. Bijan Dhar addressed a hall meeting in Muktadhara while Radhacharan addressed one in Khumulung. At the time of filing this report tension was on in Khmulung and heavy deployment of forces was made to keep the situation under control.
