Reactions pour in on blockade (7/13/2017)
BJP leaders led by Jishnu Debbarma castigated the state government for its failure to end the road blockade program. Addressing a press meet they refuted the claim that they were behind the IPFT road cum rail blockade program. On the other hand at a press meet PCC president Birajit Sinha spoke in the same tune as CPI(M) leaders and blamed BJP for supporting the movement from behind. The Congress leaders warned that if there is no concrete move to end the imbroglio then they will be forced launch their own agitation on this issue. Meanwhile after four days of silence state government has issued a press release (see pix) and appealed to the agitators to withdraw their agitation.
