CPI(M) may spring real surprise (6/19/2017)
From replacing old guards like Subodh Das and Fayzur Rahman who have won every election since 1977 to giving nomination to Panchali Bhattacharjee and several new comers. This will be the order of the day for CPI(M) in the next assembly poll. All members of state cabinet will be nomination once again. But in case of allies they may have to settle for no seats this time. CPI(M) will field its own candidates in Bordowali and Banamalipur as the contest will go down to the wire this time, Melarmath sources said. If need arises all the three MPs will also enter the electoral fray, sources pointed out. This is because the going is really tough for the ruling party this time around. But Bijan Dhar and Gautam Das will stay away from electoral battle and control everything from Melarmath.
