Pradyot’s TIPRA to continue its fight against CAA (2/11/2020)
Tripura royal scion Pradyot Kishore Debbarman today said that the young members of The Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance (TIPRA) are going from one place to another to “spread awareness” on the impending threats the country will face because of the implementation Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019. In a live session in Facebook, Manikya said that the members are neither protesting against any political parties nor urging for votes. “The soul purpose is to make the people understand how CAA is dangerous for the nation in the coming days,” he said. TIPRA was formed as a non political organisation for the people of Tripura by Pradyot Kishore Debbarman on 7th January 2020. He added that few videos have come up where Brishaketu Debbarma, an IPFT MLA from Simla along with police officials have caught illegal immigrants from Bangladesh. He appealed to the Central Government to secure the Indo-Bangladesh borders in Tripura as after CAA, regular intrusion of infiltrators are noticed in Tripura. He also added that by passing the Bill, the government has done injustice to the people of North East.
