Two arrested while stealing ornaments in Dhalai (2/8/2020) 
Atleast two hawkers were caught red handed by local people while stealing gold ornaments in the bordering subdivision of Kamalpur in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai on Friday. The two hawkers have been identified as Anil Shah(45) and Joy Narayan Soni (41). Both of them hail from Bhagalpur in Bihar. According to sources, the duo earn their living by servicing LPG gas ovens. The incident took place on Friday, where the duo after cleaning a gas oven in ward number 9 of Kamalpur Nagar Panchayat offered to polish the gold ornaments and were caught red handed by locals while stealing the ornaments. Earlier, Tripura police had also arrested a youth hailing from Haryana for stealing cash from an ATM using cloning devices.
