HC stayed investigation, arrest against Congress IT Cell chief (1/10/2020) 
The Tripura High Court on Friday stayed the investigation against congress media and IT cell chief Arindam Bhattacharjee who was arrested a couple of days back on a charge of posting so-called derogatory comments against government. While informing this to the media here at Agartala Congress Bhawan, the congress leader Subal Bhowmik said, "The HC in its separate order has restricted further arrest of Mr. Bhattacharjee." Addressing a press conference on Friday Subal Bhowmik, the congress leader said, "The HC has also found series of loopholes in the IPC section charged against Arindam Bhattacharjee while he was arrested by the police." Youth Congress activist Arindam Bhattacharjee who was arrested in connection to a Facebook post with an allegation against BJP has been granted interim bail by a local court of Agartala till January 9th. Based on the FIR filed by a Victor Shome from media cell of state BJP, Youth Congress activist Arindam Bhattacharjee was arrested for posting in social media, in which he alleged that if anybody make missed call on a specific number given by BJP to support the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) will immediately hack their mobile data. Meantime, the congress leader Subal Bhjowmik condemning the arrest of the party's IT cell chief Arindam Bhattacharjee, has alleged, "Tthe BJP government has been using the police administration in hatching hatred against the general public especially the youths." Mr. Bhowmik alleged, "During the last 21 months of the BJP government in Tripura, as many as 400 youths were harassed calling them in the police station in the name of anti-national activities."
