State celebrates 63rd death anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar (12/6/2019) 
December 6 marks the death anniversary of India's revered political leader, Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar. Dr Balasaheb Ambedkar, had made one of the greatest contribution to India by drafting the Indian constitution. He also immensely contributed to India’s independence struggle and in its reforms post-independence. Dr BR Ambedkar’s death anniversary is observed as ‘Mahaparinirvan Divas' across the country. Deputy Chief Minister along with Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly Rebati Mohan Das and others paid floral tribute to the portrait of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on his 63rd death anniversary here today. Father of Indian Constitution, Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, was well-known as a politician, a jurist and an economist. Ambedkar was born on April 14, 1891 and was India's first independent law and justice minister. Ambedkar had doctorates from London School of Economics and Columbia University and was a great scholar in political science and economics. He was also a supporter of equality and that's why he was actively involved in fighting against social discrimination and rights of women and Dalits.
