VC resigned on corruption charge: (9/7/2019) 
The Vice Chancellor Tripura University Prof V. L. Dharurkar resign from the post this afternoon following an video went on viral alleging him to taking bribe from the contractors and job aspirants, which was made in sting operation by a local TV channel 2 days back. Dharurkar denied the allegations labelled against him stating it was done by a corrupt lobby of the University for whom who had taken some actions. He also claimed the video was doctored to malign him and image of the University. Meanwhile, the Editor of the channel claimed that the sting operation was 100 percent real and he is ready to face any kind of enquiry and judicial trial.
