EC team coming to state on March 17 next (3/14/2019)
First Election commission announced without any reason the decision to hold two days poll in the state. Mamata Banerjee has been the only politician to question this illogical decision taken by the EC after NEINDIA flashed the news in this regard. Now in another development which many believe is an attempt by EC to appease CPI(M) Sudip Jain top EC official is coming on next Sunday. The EC team is visiting states like Manipur that is insurgency infested but the logic of inclusion of Tripura is not known. The immediate provocation seems to be a reported attack on the husband of a CPI(M) MP. Reports said, this person had allegedly collected huge amounts of money in the name of providing recruitment in TMC. This led to anger in Hapania area. The locals attacked him and also mentioned that he was also behind selling MBBS seats to rich candidates devoid of merit. Locals told that the attack had nothing to do with politics. But EC seems to be only listening to CPI(M) version, political observers felt.
