On the law and order front he said now anybody can go to police station and register cases in stark contrast to Left days when one had to obtain permission even from IG (Law & Order). With regards to the continued fight against drugs he said the route via Damcherra has already been identified and thankfully the new Zoramthanga government in Mizoram has also decided to go all ahead against this menace. Regarding the tirade against ganja he said some people had told him that as this illegal trade is over Rs 1,000 crore it should not be touched but so far nobody has died of starvation due to crackdown.
