BJP foils CITU bandh call, TSF successful (1/8/2019)
BJP workers successfully foiled the 48 hour bandh call given by CITU and several other trade unions today. But it was TSF which stole the show by a successful 11 hour bandh in tribal belt. There was troble in Hezamara first and later at Madhabbari. But police firing led to chaos in Madhabbari even though the trouble was averted in Hezamara. The CITU leaders were a dejected lot after the flop bandh. But INPT leader Jagadish Debbarma tried to instigate party workers and said that the agitation spearheaded by TSF will go a long way. In the capital breaking decades and decades of tradition life was normal today. Instead of CITU cadres it was BJP workers seen on the streets of the capital today. Elsewhere too BJP workers made sure that no CPI(M) cadre is able to make a dent to enforce the bandh.
