Pranjit thanks railways for special trains (11/8/2018) 
Transport Minister Pranajit Singha Roy today said it is very appreciating work which has done by the department of Railways during Diwali Mela andarranged seven pairs of special train for the event. A good numbers of pilgrims have come to attend the programme at Tripureswari temple in the nick time of Diwali as the Railways had arranged special trains, he said.Mr Singha Roy said Diwali Mela at Tripureswari temple had organized with great enthusiasm and a total of 4 to 4.25 lakhs pilgrims were taking part in the programme from different area of the country and state. Tourism Minister in compliance with direction Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has given thanks to all the line departments for their great effort to complete the Diwali Mela, one of the largest festival of North East India without any incident.T.K Debnath, DM & Collector of Gomati District said the officers of Gomati District were working hard and all the officials should get thanks from district administration.The management was too good and the security personnel were playing an important role, added A.R Reddy, Superintendent of Police for Gomati District.According to statistics, all the previous records of Diwali Mela had crossed this year and there was not any incident. The state government is trying level best to make the state as model state and expecting to conduct Diwali Mela with large scale in future, Mr Singha Roy.
