Cong calls 12 hour bandh on Monday (9/7/2018) |
It is a cat and mouse battle for opposition parties to stay afloat in the political sphere of the state. Almost daily scribes have to rush either to Congress bhavan or Melarmath to hear from the leaders of two principal parties that exist only on paper as of now. On Friday Congress won the daily battle by giving the Monday bandh call ahead of Left Front. Birajit Sinha who earlier led a deputation of 20 odd supporters to State Election commission office announced a dawn to dusk 12 hour bandh on Monday. But there was no reaction from Bijan Dhar on behalf of CPI(M) even though Left parties have also decided to give the bandh call. The silence of CPI(M) is due to the fact that it does not want to get associated with Congress in any way.
