Rohit Bal collection sizzles Kolkata (1/31/2011)
India Blooms News Service (Kolkata)
The mercury rose a degree higher in the city on Friday night as models flaunting Rohit Bal creations walked the pool side in a city hotel at 'The Chivas Studio' fashion event.

The event showcased the exclusive designs by ace fashion designer Rohit Bal, inspired by the Persian work ‘Khakastari’ which means colours of ash.

Bal’s collection included a wide array of garments- sarees, gowns, lehengas.

“For a designer or any creative person, everything changes, at present I feel like doing this,” Bal said.

Colours like red, white, black and golden, were mostly seen in his creations on Friday night.

“Every fashion designer should be fairy tale person as I believe fashion is all about fantasy,” Bal remarked.

Commenting on the second edition of The Chivas Studio, Bikram Basu, Vice President-Marketing, Pernod Richard India said,” The Chivas Studio is a stunning concept bringing creative art forms to life.”

“We are pushing uncharted territory, experimenting and innovating as we go along in our pursuit for excellence, so embodied by Chivas Regal globally,” Basu said.

In this second edition, the Chivas Studio toured in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata.
