Karat & Manik attack BJP RSS combine (10/12/2017)
Increasing the attack on BJP-RSS combine both Prakash Karat and Manik Sarkar on Thursday initated the formal campaign for the formation of eighth Left Front government. Addressing a mammoth rally in Birchandramanu in South Tripura both Mr Sarkar, who spoke for fifty minutes and Mr Karat targeted BJP RSS . It seemed that they had taken over from where they left from their speeches delivered yesterday in Rabindra bhavan. Mr Karat said that people of Tripura will be ready to meet the challenge posed by BJP in the next poll and give a befitting reply to them. There will be no repeat of Assam and Manipur in Tripura, he thundered. BJP has specifically targeted the Kerala and Tripura Left Front governments . In Tripura, he alleged , money is being spent to bring the anti communists together on a common platform and also to disrupt the communal harmony existing between tribals and non tribals. Significantly enough he also targeted Congress and said it cannot take on the BJP which has dethroned one Congress government after another. Hence , he proclaimed that only the Left can provide an alterantive to BJP besides taking them head on. Earlier, in his address Badal Choudhury hit out at Sunil Deodhar, hailing from Maharastra and Biplab Deb who did not have any touch with the state for the past fifteen odd years and only served in the RSS headquarters in Delhi.
