With an aim to transpire an essence of peace, harmony and non-violence in the state, Lal Bahadur Vyamagar of Dhaleswar has aspired to construct a marquee of Badrinath Temple for the upcoming Durga Puja Festival.
Puja Committee Secretary of Lal Bahadur Vyamagar Ratan Saha said, the club puja committee has decided to construct a marquee of Badrinath Temple to transpire an essence of peace, harmony and non-violence among the people and keeping this in mind that with the increasing price hike in all the essential commodities in the state, committee has raised a budget of Rs 25 lakh. However, the budget for previous year was Rs 22 lakh and during that period, the essential commodities could be purchased in an affordable price.
While speaking to media persons at its Club office today Pua Committe Secretary of Lal Bahadur VYamagar Saha said, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb will inaugurate this marquee on ‘Maha Panchami’ at 6.
Cultural evenings will be arranged on Maha Panchami, Maha Sasthi, Maha Saptami, Maha Astami and Maha Nabami by the renowned singers of native land. And, a total of 5,000 ‘Annabhog’ will be distributed on Maha Astami’s noon, he added.
The marquee and popular artist Gurupada Munda of Medinipur, Kathi is shaping the idols of deities for this Sangha. Harekrishna Paul of Agartala is engaged in decorations and illumination.
The immertion date had not been finalized; however the idols will stay two days after ‘Maha Dasami’. A total of 10 to 15 local boys will be available in and outside the marquee during the five days of Durga Puja celebration. 8 CCTV cameras will be installed.
